Job Title:        Internal Audit Manager
Employer: Movit Products Limited (MPL)

Duties
·         Responsible for planning, executing, and managing a comprehensive risk based audit Plan for Movit Products Limited (MPL).
·         Supervise and ensure the efficiency of the auditing team to achieve the internal audit objective.
·         Develop and implement internal auditing policies, procedures, programs, controls, and mechanisms to prevent or mitigate risks of loss to the company.

Education:

·         Profession certification in ACCA or CPA is a must.

Job title: Retail Associate Field Manager (Follow-Up)

Employer: GiveDirectly

Location: Kampala, Uganda

Duties
Meet with Field Manager at least monthly to align on any adjustments to work plan.
Meet with field teams as necessary to align on daily plans and problem-solve challenges. Coordinate team approach for surveys to maximize efficiency and efficacy (e.g. allocating call center roles by transfer type, hotline, adverse events, and registration problems).
 Track FO productivity & quality of service, including reviewing operational reports each week; discuss team and individual performance weekly with FOs and FM; own course correction if metrics are slipping.
Keep senior management informed of key risks to work plan (e.g. adverse event / registration problem counts, monthly recipient transfer-readiness, rumours about GiveDirectly, mobile money agent fraud, etc.).
Weekly meeting with other members of field management (FM, AFMs) in order to discuss challenges and propose solutions.
Manage periodic team trips to the field to follow-up with vulnerable recipients, hard to reach recipients, and adverse event / registration problem cases.
Data collection and process improvement (20%)
Vet new versions of surveys, including impact on staff productivity and follow-up data quality, and recommend survey improvements as necessary (e.g. potential process, risk mitigation, or data management gaps).
Raise ideas for continuous improvement to the enrolment process /recipient experience; execute process improvements.
Collect surveys ~ 1-2 days a week in order to help teams achieve targets and to help identify areas for improvement.
Administration (20%)
Carve out time each week in order to complete administrative tasks and meetings.
 Ensure all allowance requests and spent allowance requests are submitted correctly and promptly. Process leave requests so as not to conflict with work planning and operations.
Resolve miscellaneous equipment requests.
Actively participate in a weekly field management forum to problem solve and collaborate on work planning.
Quality control (15%)
Monitor and ensure quality control while the staff conduct surveys.
Periodically check and review FO data. Coach staff to correct any issues observed.
 Spend 1-2 day resolving difficult cases in the field that require special attention (hard-to-find recipients, cases of potential fraud)
Field Officer management and development (15%)
Coach FOs on challenges. Provide additional case-specific input as requested by FO (e.g. ambiguity around adverse event). Exercise judgment and escalate recurring issues or questions to CCM/CD to align on approach.
Coach FOs who are underperforming and provide disciplinary measures if necessary.
Encourage teamwork and improve morale through mentorship, affirmations, and various management initiatives.
Spend 1-2 days shadowing staff in order to identify areas for improvement and professional development, particularly during staff training.
Conduct monthly performance check-ins with direct reports and semi-annual performance reviews.
Other (10%)
Arrange interview logistics and conduct interviews for new FOs (after initial screen from HR Manager). Recommend potential hires to CCM for final approval.
Provide initial training to newly hired FOs and on-going professional development to staff. Participate in meetings with district, county, and sub-country officials as necessary.
Assist with communicating and executing new projects/pilots/technologies (e.g. software changes and upgrades, recipient targeting projects, content collection for website and mobile app, etc.).
Assist with response to crisis events (e.g. refusal spikes, government shut-down, coordinated fraud, etc.)
Promote effective team culture by encouraging recognition of positive achievements, planning team events periodically, and other team-building initiatives.

Job Title: Sub Program Manager

Experience

Job Title:        Tour Consultant/Reservations Manager
Employer: Prime Uganda Safaris & Tours Ltd

Duties:  
Diagnose the clients’ specifications and wishes and suggest suitable travel packages or services
Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation etc.
Supply travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material (guides, maps, event programs etc)
Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money returns
Attend conferences to maintain familiarity with tourism trends
Create and update electronic records of clients
Reach the revenue and profit targets
Available, able to respond to any call / email any time of the day /night
Secure and reserve client’s safari accommodation following the confirmed safari program
Take responsibility of securing visitors relevant trekking permits in relevant parks following their confirmed program


Education:
The applicant for the Tour Consultant/Reservations Manager job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism/Travel related course

Experience

Job Title:       Risk and Compliance Manager
Employer: Bayport Financial Services Uganda Ltd

Duties
Compile Risk Management Plans for all core and high risk compliance requirements
Enhance and promote a compliance culture through awareness activities
Expeditiously follow up and close on any compliance / Audit related findings or action items
Advise business on any changes in set standards/ local requirements (throughout the year)
Identify business impact for new regulatory requirements and escalate upwards as necessary
Proactively identify control deficiencies both within the organization and external sources and take necessary steps to address them.
Identify changes in the pattern of losses, analyze trends affecting the segment and take the necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.
Keenly monitor Continuity Management plans and close identified gaps
Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to CEO and other stakeholders on company activities within the country
Recommend process improvement areas including deletion of obsolete policies and procedures to the CEO.
Identify and assess the compliance risk associated with the organization’s current and proposed future business activities, including new products, new business-relationships and any extension of operations or network;
Establish written guidelines to staff and service providers on the appropriate implementation of reaching it as far as is the laws, regulations, rules and standards through policies and procedures (compliance manual, code of conduct);


Education:

Possession of Certificate in Fraud Examination is an added advantage

Experience
At least five years’ experience in the Risk and Compliance Department at a senior level, preferably at a Functional Head level in a regulated Banking or Financial industry
Certified Risk and Compliance training will be an added advantage,
Practical and demonstrable knowledge and experience with the current Industry regulatory, statutory and governance universe in Uganda,

Duties:

The incumbent must also hold a Master’s degree in any relevant field with outstanding organization and leadership abilities and ability to take a holistic approach in managing the organization’s operations.

Experience
Proven experience as executive director or any other managerial position.
Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques
Extensive knowledge and understanding of urban planning and slum upgrading issues
In-depth knowledge and experience in managing donor funded programs/projects
An analytical mind capable for “out-of-the-box” thinking to solve problems
Excellent communication (oral and written) and public speaking skills
Previous work in slum communities will be an added advantage
