Job Title:       Logistics Manager
Employer: SolarNow
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Duties  
Co-ordinate the warehousing, distribution, transportation functions of all inventory in the company.
Create and maintain proper reporting tools that optimise performance of the logistics department.
Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance.
Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
Work closely with and negotiate with local suppliers
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
Arrange and plan out warehouse, catalog goods, and plan delivery routes.
Resolve any arising problems or complaints from clients both internally and externally.
Supervise, coach and train the logistics team

Education:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in transport and Logistics or Supply Chain and any relevant courses.
Professional Courses in Logistics and Supply Chain Management are an added advantage.

Experience
A minimum of five years of proven working experience as a logistics manager.
Proven ability to lead and manage team
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

Job Title:       Logistics/Administration Officer (2 Fresher Job Placements)
Employer: Oxfam

Duties:
The Logistics/Administration Officer will oversee logistics operations with a particular focus on fleet, procurement and adequate stewardship of agency resources (Assets);
Manage all local procurement activities of the office according to Oxfam procurement regulations.
The incumbent will ensure that there is an approved purchase request for all purchases with valid project/fund numbers dully filled out before any purchase is made.
The jobholder will also implement and document Oxfam standard procedures and practices of purchasing, and promote accountability of resources.
Oversee and supervise the work of the drivers to ensure proper vehicle allocations, tracking of vehicle related costs inclusive of monitoring maintenance/repair/service schedules and fuel.
In addition, this role shall facilitate provision of HR, administrative and other support services at location and work with the Field HR Officer and the HR Team in Kampala on staff related matters.

Education:

Job Title:        Logistics Officer

Experience

Job Title:           Logistics Assistant
Employer: World Food Programme (WFP)
Location: Uganda

The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is looking for a Logistics Assistant

Duties :
Ensure accurate daily and weekly reports on food and NFIs are shared by the EDPs and ensure that internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are maintained;
Report timely any anomaly encountered from/by transporters in the delivery of cargo from the CDPs to EDPs and finally to the FDPs.
Ensure utilization of WFP documents for all warehouse transactions as per WFP rules and regulations (waybills, LTI, stock reports, loss reports etc.).
Ensure daily and monthly reconciliation of stock reports with the commodity-tracking unit.
Ensure Storekeepers in-charge are prompt in effecting segregation of damaged food consignments/stocks and these are stacked separately for immediate reconditioning/reconstitution.
Conduct regular inspection of commodities under storage and report any anomaly.
Conduct inventory and collate monthly inventory reports.
Institute loss mitigation measures, loss analysis and reporting,

Education: The ideal candidate for the United Nations UN World Food Programme (WFP) Logistics Assistant job opportunity should hold a University Degree in either of the following fields: Accounts, Procurement & Logistics, Computer Science, Statistics or any other related field obtained from a recognized Institution Or a Diploma in Accounts, Procurement & Logistics, Computer Science, Statistics or any other related field obtained from a recognized Institution, coupled with longer relevant working experience;

Experience: A minimum of four years relevant working experience in a relevant field gained from a reputable organization;
Ability to implement operational warehouse procedures and normative guidance in order to manage WFP’s warehouse, handle inventory effectively through corporate systems, and ensure loss mitigation; training labourers on appropriate staking methods; identification of potential risks and taking remedial actions; coordination with transporters and accountability for commodities within the warehouse.
Good working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Packages and other Networking Operating Systems.
Working experience with Relational Database Management System, Oracle, & SQL would be an asset.
Excellent command of both written & oral English is essential;

Job Title:  Logistics Specialist
Employer: USAID/Uganda Private Health Support Program
Location:  Kampala
USAID/Uganda Private Health Support Program is recruiting a  Logistics Specialist in Kampala
Duties:  
•         Support all program supported PNFP/PFP facilities to forecast, quantify and submit accurate and timely bi-monthly report and order forms to respective warehouses as per the bi-monthly order and delivery schedule.
•         The incumbent will manage the delivery and distribution of 01 drugs from the warehouses to the Program supported facilities.
•         Routinely retrieve, analyse and provide information on report rates, consumption data and patient statistics from the Web ARV ordering and reporting system (WAOS) and any non WAOS orders submitted to JMS for bimonthly reporting.
•         Prepare and share quarterly technical and status/progress reports on logistics system performance for Program supported PNFP and PFP facilities.
•         Conduct an assessment of all Program supported facilities and maintain an updated health facility inventory for all PNFP and PFP facilities including their computer and internet connectivity and WAOS training status.
•         Take lead and coordinate capacity building of all Program supported PFP and PNFP facilities in logistics management information system and use of WAOS.

Education:  The ideal candidate for the USAID PHS Program Logistics Specialist job opportunity should possess a professional degree in a health area; such as pharmacy, valid registration with the relevant professional council/association to practise in Uganda. Post graduate training in procurement and logistics management will be an added advantage.

Experience: A minimum of two years’ work experience in providing logistic management assistance especially in the area of warehousing, supply chain management, quantification and procurement. Work experience with medicines logistics management information systems, solid working knowledge of ART in Uganda with two years’ experience managing HIV commodities. Working experience in Uganda with knowledge and comprehensive understanding of Uganda's health system
