Job Title:        Agribusiness Officer
Employer: Adjumani District Farmers development association (ADFDA)
Location: Uganda


Duties:
·         Participate in the planning and implementation of DFA’s activities related to PRELNOR     
·         Offer technical and methodological support to DFA Market site facilitators;
·         Ensure that market site activities are gender and youth inclusive;
·         Collect and consolidate market site facilitators reports;
·         Lead and participate in the production of information notes related to market stakeholder’s activities (value chain information on prices and volumes, organizational support to market oriented groups);
·         Market information capture and dissemination;
·         Design a building capacities road map for market oriented farmers’ groups including action plan, business plan, financing plan (related to PRELNOR matching grant opportunities), business monitoring;
·         Identify needs and eventual external support to improve quality;
·         Design and facilitate training modules based on market stakeholders’ needs
·         Actively participate together with DCCIs in the design of the market information system;

Education:
·         At least a BSc in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Rural Economy with knowledge in agricultural extension, sociology, adult education

Experience
·         A minimum of three to five years of effective experience in domains linked to family farming agri-business with direct support to business oriented farmers’ groups (cooperatives, producers’ groups, post-harvest handing activities, SACCOS, traders associations).
·         Previous experience with projects, farmers’ organisations, agribusiness actors in the targeted district is an asset;
·         Ability to analyse and document: the candidate must present such notes, documents that s/he had to produce in previous assignments;
·         Ability to facilitate processes in a team work context: to show availability to do frequent on-site support;
·         Ability to work with e-tools (main software, social networks.);
·         Languages: English, Madi language is a plus
·         Age bracket of 25-40 years

Job Title:        Internal Audit Manager
Employer: Movit Products Limited (MPL)
Location: Kampala, Uganda


Duties
·         Responsible for planning, executing, and managing a comprehensive risk based audit Plan for Movit Products Limited (MPL).
·         Supervise and ensure the efficiency of the auditing team to achieve the internal audit objective.
·         Develop and implement internal auditing policies, procedures, programs, controls, and mechanisms to prevent or mitigate risks of loss to the company.
·         Review departmental functions and activities to determine the nature of operations and adequacy of the system of control to achieve established objectives.
·         Guide the top management on internal control matters and current company status in terms of risks.
·         Coordinate the internal audit effort with those of the company’s external auditors.
·         Conduct annual risk assessment before formulation of the annual audit plan.
·         Carry out consultative work and fraud investigations from management.

Education:
·         The ideal candidate should hold a Masters in Accounting or Finance
·         Profession certification in ACCA or CPA is a must.
·         Comprehensive Knowledge on Internal Audit, COSO, internal controls, compliance and risk management.
·         Audit Techniques (Work programs, tests, sampling, documentations and reports )
·         Good knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle and SAP)
·         High degree of objectivity, integrity , Confidentiality and strong business skills
·         Previous experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes and systems.
·         Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, performing systems analyst tasks and setting priorities of tasks among multiple assigned projects.
·         Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

Job Title:        Agricultural Extension Worker
Employer: Send a Cow (SAC) UK
Location: Amuru, Uganda

Duties
·         Formulate detailed work plans to implement activities which address identified sustainable agriculture development needs of project participants, families and communities
·         Coordinate and participate in implementing follow- up, training and retraining plans for staff/partners and the selected farmer groups or associations and advise on any other emerging development needs
·         Reporting on follow up, trainings, support provided to groups, monitoring and evaluation activities, farm productivity, sustainable organic agriculture.
·         Documentation of success stories and case studies
·         Ensure farmers are followed up regularly and re-training programs in sustainable agriculture are implemented.
·         Coordinate Peer Farmer Development individually and as a Group.
·         Take part in streamlining gender equity in groups and individual families

 Education:
·         The applicant should preferably hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field

Experience
·         At least two to three years’ experience in providing extension services
·         Must have a valid riding permit     
·         Previous experience in implementation of interventions involving application of sustainable agriculture methodologies
·         Knowledge VSLA methodologies   
·         Experience in community development and NGO work.
·         Ability to deliver training programmes
·         Ability to ride a motorbike for long distances
·         Excellent communication skills
·         Good report writing skills
·         Good networking skills.
·         Able to work well with government and other development partners   
·         Ability to build high quality group dynamics
·         Ability to manage conflict and deal positively with setbacks
·         Have empathy with Send a Cow’s Christian foundation and core values
·         An initiator and self -driven
·         Good team player.
·         High degree of flexibility
