Job title: Marketing and Communications Officer

Employer:Montrose

Duties:
Company Communications and Marketing:
Formulate and implement the marketing and communications strategy for Montrose
Design communication and marketing materials for the company, subsidiaries and projects
Design and manage our social media platforms, and lead the design and content management of the company website.
Offer technical support to the Montrose team during the development of proposal for new projects.
Project Communications:
Drive the development of marketing and communication materials for our diverse range of projects, including project updates on social media
Travel to the projects across a range of developing countries, to document project impact and outcomes, and provide communications support to project staff.
Technical Support: You will be responsible for delivering capacity building and mentoring within the company and to Project Knowledge Management and Communications personnel.

Education
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing and communications, web design and development, and/or other relevant discipline

Experience:
At least three to five years of relevant work experience – preferably in developing contexts
Excellent written and spoken English – additional languages a bonus
Excellent web development and database management skills
 Good knowledge of relevant computer software packages
Comprehensive experience designing and managing diverse social media platforms
 Excellent editorial and writing skills
 Desire to learn and take on new challenges

Job title: 2 Brands Officers

Employer: Uganda Health Marketing Group Ltd. (UHMG)

Duties
Work in liaison with the Social Marketing Manager to develop and implement brand strategies with the aim of growing awareness, demand and market share in line with the marketing plan.
Provide support in formulating and conducting brand promotional activities to increase customers and consumers’ product knowledge and support secondary shelf off-take in the trade.
Work to build brand equity through proper planning, execution and evaluation of various brand promotional activities as a brand custodian, and assisting in the planning, execution and evaluation of various marketing activities.
 Support partnerships with key corporate organizations and Social Enterprise Organizations (SEOs) to increase uptake.
Build and maintain productive relationships with the sales and promotions teams, coordinate media and marketing agencies to ensure full and impactful execution of brand promotion activities.
Generate individual brand operational plans, oversee grass root execution and provide evidence-based and consumer insight reports to guide innovative strategies.
Ensure that adequate supplies of promotional and point of sale materials are available and provided to the field implementing teams.
Take part in consumer and market research activities to address problems, challenges and opportunities to understand why brand objectives are/are not being met and provide recommendations on consumer insights, brand health analysis, market review, etc. Identify new business opportunities for brand growth.

Education
The applicant for the USAID Project Brands Officer should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Marketing, or Business Administration, or related field. Post graduate Diploma in Brand Management, Sales and Marketing is essential.
Possession of professional qualification / certification e.g. CIMA is an added advantage.
A minimum of four years of relevant experience working in the field of brand marketing experience in FMCG company or donor environment, with proven track record in areas of brand management, campaign development, execution and evaluation.
Previous exposure and experience working with USAID programs will be an added advantage.
 Demonstrable results in previous work environment should reinforce claims to this experience.
Self motivated, focused, disciplined professional, with the drive and dynamism to work under pressure with competing deadlines, and possess the ability to make an immediate impact. Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and result-oriented skills, and experience in managing objectives with the customer in mind.
Good judgement, initiative, high sense of responsibility, tactful, ability to plan, organize and measure outcomes of interventions. Exemplary and honest, with a high level of energy and integrity, and able to work under minimum supervision.

Job Title:          Market Development Specialist

Duties:  
Planning, developing and implementing market development activities:
Work in close collaboration with the Livelihoods Advisor provide technical oversight in planning implementation of market systems development approaches, and learning process to ensure project interventions are targeted and responsive to evolving market requirements and upgrading needs.
Actively participate in the development of tools and resources to assist in market systems analysis, in programme design, activities implementation and M&E, and to ensure consistent high quality implementation.

Conduct continuous market intelligence and assessment to inform programming including identification of value chains and sectors that are inclusive and have potential to benefit the poor households, especially women and youth.
Participate in mentoring and coaching of Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) and Micro enterprises in the agricultural sector
Lead the process of light due diligence of private sector businesses profiled by Market Development Officers.
Coordinate with other project staff to support farmer and producer organizations to evaluate market requirements and develop production plans responsive to market demands.


Education:
The ideal candidate for the GOAL International Market Development Specialist job placement should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Agriculture Economics, Agri-business or related technical field

Experience
A minimum of five years of related experience in similar capacity or related fields
Proven experience, skills and knowledge of market systems development and  value chain development approaches, ideally in northern Uganda context; preferred experience of one or more market development approaches such as sub sector analysis, business development service or business models using best practices.
Previous experience with post-harvest handling a plus.
