Job Title:   Electro-Mechanical Supervisor
Employer: Future Options Consulting Ltd
Location: Uganda


Future Options Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Electro-Mechanical Supervisor will oversee the delivery of the Project, and in particular to manage the delivery and performance of the electro-mechanical works of the EPC contractors.

Duties:
•         Supervision of the field electro-mechanical works to meet Project and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications.
•         Regularly monitor and oversee the progress of the electro-mechanical works ensuring that they are completed in a safe manner that is within the budget, on time and to the required technical and quality standards.
•         Actively participate in relevant project meetings and audits, and provide inputs for the reports and follow required checking procedures.
•         Provide inputs for review of contractor payment applications, comparing progress against the overall project budget and the contract bill of quantities.
•         Offer timely technical and engineering support to the Owner’s Engineer team or other third party contractor or the consultant appointed by the Company
•         Identify and report issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required. Understanding and internal communication of the project requirements, monitor progress, Quality and ESG-H&S performance.
•         Work closely within the project team, actively contributing to all project activities, in particular providing support and mentoring to junior members of the team, encouraging a culture of knowledge transfer and open learning.

Experience: The ideal applicant must have at least eight to ten years of electro-mechanical supervisor experience. At least five years’ experience in hydropower engineering or construction. Preferably experience as a contractor and/or owner.

Location: Jinja and Mayuge, Uganda

Role: The Restless Development Volunteers will live and work full-time in the  respective communities for a period of 3 months supporting the improvement of youth sexual reproductive health and rights, and development issues.

Education: The Volunteers should at least hold A’ Level certificate
show broad interest in contributing to improving youth sexual reproductive health and rights, and development issues

Job Title:         GSO Administrative Clerk
Employer: United States US Embassy, US Mission in Uganda
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Salary Grade: FSN-6 (Ugshs 41,892,912 p.a inclusive of allowances)

Duties:
•         Drafts and types letters, memos, cables, diplomatic notes and staff notices for the General Services Officer in accordance with well-defined instructions and precedents.
•         Reviews all documents prior to submission to the supervisor to ensure that they are grammatically correct, free of spelling or typographical errors and adhere to standard format. Receives reviews and screens all incoming telephone communications transferring calls to the appropriate person and/or taking messages and following up on calls to ensure action needed.
•         Controls a cupboard stock of office supplies. Submits procurement requests for GSO related requirements.
•         Maintains a time and attendance log for Housing, Customs and Shipping and Procurement staff including submitting and filing time and attendance (T&A) reports. Assists FM Secretary and Management Receptionist.

Education: The applicants for the US Embassy GSO Administrative Clerk job opportunity should have two years of post-secondary studies in Secretarial studies, Administration, Management from a university or technical institute is required.

Experience: At least two years of progressively responsible office management experience is required.
