Job Title: Cluster Accountant (3 Job Opportunities)
Employer: The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda)
Location: Uganda
Duties:
Examine financial statements to ensure accuracy and conformity to regulations and donor needs
Ensure that statements and records comply with laws and regulations
Taxes owed computed, tax returns prepares, prompt payment of staff; sub-grantees and service providers
Ensure that account books inspected and accounting systems kept up-to-date
Ensure that all financial records are organized and maintained
Innovate ways to reduce costs, and ensure program quality
Provide auditing services for sub-grantees to ensure compliance with donor requirements
Education:
The ideal candidates for the CDC Project Accountant jobs should hold Bachelor’s degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance.
Professional Level II CPA/ ACCA will be an added advantage
Experience
A minimum of two years’ experience in financial accounting in a busy PEPFAR or USG-funded organization.
Previous experience working in PEPFAR or USG-funded organizations is highly desirable
Previous exposure and experience in applications of the NAVISION Accounting Software
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Power point and MS Outlook
