Job Title:      Procurement Officer
Employer: Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK)
Location: Uganda

Duties:
The Procurement Officer will implement all procurement and logistic activities of the Institute
Confirm with end users the basis of their estimated costs on the procurement requisitions, in order to determine the appropriate procurement method
Provide regulatory guiding principles of the law and explain it to the end users in relation to their procurement requirements
Develop appropriate terms and conditions of the proposed contract in consultation with the end users or technical specialists
The incumbent will also ensure various procurement requirements do comply with UPIK policies
Implement UPIK inventory policy and keep procurement registers up-to-date
Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks to enable the Organization meet its obligation
Explaining procurement processes and requirements to responsible officers and persuading them to adopt best practices, given the complexity of procurement.

Duties:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s (Hon) degree in procurement, purchasing or logistics and supply chain management from a recognized Institution.
Professional qualification in supply Chain Management (CIPS) is an added advantage
One year of experience in a reputable organization.
High degree of integrity
Comprehensive knowledge of laws governing procurement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
Age: 25 - 40 years

Job Title:        Assistant Procurement Officer

Duties:

Job Title:       Procurement Associate
Employer: Mavek Cleaning Services Ltd
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Gross Salary:  4,500,000 (Shillings per month)
Reports to: Head of Finance

Job Summary: The Procurement Associate will oversee procurement and operational functions for all the contracts in Uganda. S/he will ensure cost efficient use and procurement of resources and in accordance with company rules and regulations.  The incumbent will work closely with Head of Finance team in all the contracts and projects Mavek Cleaning Services (U) Ltd is handling.

Duties:
Identify potential vendors, develop specifications for the product, solicit bids, and with finance department, prepare an analysis of the bids and a final recommendation.
Work closely with Quality, Health and Safety manager (QHS) to analyze the quality of the cleaning products to be used in clients’ premises or facilities.
Keenly analyze and reconcile supplier’s invoices for all ordered  and supplied goods and services ensuring they are adequately supported on a daily basis
Work in liaison with Finance, and seek out clarifications with suppliers on invoices
Scan through the LPO book on a weekly basis and follow up with suppliers to submit any outstanding invoices
Post all issued LPOs into quick books on a daily basis
Receive goods from suppliers and verifying against the LPO in consultation with the users

Education:
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Associate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Business Management or equivalent field

Experience
A minimum of four years of related working experience.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with prioritization
Keen attention to details and understanding of suppliers payment cycles/procedures
Attending to client cleaning product needs and ensuring product quality and safety.

Job Title:  Logistics Coordinator

Duties
Logistics support to the assessment team

Job Title:     Procurement Assistant

The ideal candidate for the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO Procurement Officer job should hold an Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, commerce, engineering, law or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:
At least five years of progressively responsible experience in procurement or contract management or contract administration or logistics or supply chain management in the public or private sector, of which at least two years should be directly related to first-hand procurement and/or contracting experience at the international level is required.
Procurement experience in peacekeeping missions and/ or field duty stations within the UN system would be an asset.
Languages: Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of French is desirable.
