Job Title:       Database Officer
Employer: WEI/Bantwana
Location: Jinja, Uganda

Duties
Run consistency checks against the data that has been captured in the database
Work closely with the DBA to support in maintaining project databases; ensuring data completeness, manage database reports and other quality checks:
Render support in quarterly reporting into the National Systems e.g. Hybrid, PRS, OVCMIS efc
Carry out data validation by the CSOs
Support the Database Administrator to conduct supportive supervisory visits to sub grantees to observe monitor and provide guidance and quality feedback on the use of data and indicators;
Provide a supportive role in data entry
Provide support to the MEL staff in all M&E-related tasks and activities including analysis, development of tools, documentation among others
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the MEL Director.


Education:
The applicant for the USAID Project Database Officer job placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Information Technology or a related course
Professional qualification: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate / Expert (MCDA/MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) will be an added advantage.
A bias in Data Management and Analysis is mandatory

Experience
A minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar position, particularly experience in reputable institutions
Good working knowledge of major databases like SQL Server and analytical programs including MS access, MS excel and any other statistical data analysis packages;
Strong analysis data analysis skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Familiarity, routine management of information systems, and maintenance of electronic databases;
