Job Title: School Counselors
Employer: Watoto Child Care Ministries
Location: Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi and Gulu, Uganda
Duties:
Designs career programs according to the needs of the learners
Conducts one-on-one sessions with the learners concerning their careers and dreams
Rightly places technical students, guide students on selection of subject combinations /Tertiary institutions , colleges, etc and marketable trade
Links up with resource persons/facilitators to inspire students in their fields of expertise/guide student on careers
The jobholder also networks for exposure, trips and resource mobilization
Conducts academic conferences/guide them on smart goals setting/revision tips/give information on value for Education
Conducts One-on-one with students concerning their academic improvement and strategies
Carries out Career data collection for all classes from Nursery to S.6
Education:
The applicants for the Watoto Child Care Ministries School Counselor jobs should hold Diplomas/Degrees counselling or a related field.
Experience
A minimum of two years’ experience in a school setting
Excellent interpersonal skills
Show commitment to work within a team environment
