Job Title:          Legal, Compliance and Risk Officer (LCR Officer)

Location: Kampala, Uganda

Duties:  
Supports the Management Team in handling complex transactional matters and ongoing commercial contracts.
Supports the Management Team in maintaining corporate records and minute books, coordinating matters relating to board and shareholders meetings, preparing materials for such meetings, and preparing related minutes, written consents, etc.
Supports the management team with respect to periodic Govt. Of Uganda regulatory reporting.
Supports the management team in formation or dissolution of legal entities and other routine corporate legal matters.
Supports the Management Team with respect to contract drafting, coordination of approvals, signatures, and notarization of document and implementation.
Supports the management team in performing compliance audits of internal Corporate Policies and Procedures as well as relevant local and international environmental, social and governance (ESG) regulations
Supports the Management Team with processing Work Permits for international staff

Education:
The ideal candidate for the Solarnow Legal, Compliance and Risk Officer (LCR Officer) job opportunity must hold a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
Possession of a Diploma in Legal Practice

Experience
One to three years’ experience in legal practice; Registered Attorney
Possess the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality
Independent; Person of integrity; meticulous; analytical; eye for detail.
