Job Title: Chief Finance Officer
Employer: Ecobank Uganda Limited
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Duties:
Develop strategic financial procedures to support management decisions and maintain integrity of accounting practices, reporting and disclosure.
Work in liaison with the Executive Team and assist in strategy formulation, monitoring and delivery.
Tasked with the preparation of the Bank's annual budgets and forecast.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements as issued by the Central Bank, URA and other statutory bodies.
Manage the financial risk for the bank to achieve maximum efficiency.
Develop and implement MIS and financial procedures for effective and efficient reporting to Regulators, the Board of Directors, Management and Group office.
Oversee the preparation of year end statutory accounts and statutory audit.
Manage, review and ensure timely reporting of the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial results.
Education:
The ideal candidate for the Ecobank Chief Finance Officer job opportunity must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or any other related discipline.
Professional qualification like ACCA / CPA / CIMA.
Experience
At least eight years’ experience in a middle or senior Finance position preferably with a banking or financial institution.
Previous experience in dealing with regulators such as the Central Bank and Tax authorities.
Sound knowledge of banking products and their accounting treatment.
