Job Title:     Project Coordinator – Conflict & Land
Employer: Saferworld
Location: Northern, Uganda

About US:
Saferworld is looking for a Project Coordinator – Conflict & Land to be based in Northern Uganda

Duties:
Coordinate the effective delivery of the project and take responsibility for the day-to-day implementation, documentation and operation of project activities;
Take lead in coordinating work with local governments, NGOs and CBOs to deliver timely and high quality activities, including training, consultation, research and analysis;
Lead- the delivery of training, including designing, facilitating or co-facilitating where necessary;
Build and maintain strong relations with staff in partner organisations who are implementing the project;
Ensure timely completion of internal reporting requirements and contribute to the completion of donor reports;
Offer support in the development and regular revision of project work plans for Saferworld staff and partners;
Regularly monitor project budgets on a monthly basis in coordination with colleagues to ensure optimum expenditure of funds and timely and accountable financial reporting by local partners.


Education: The ideal candidate for the Saferworld Project Coordinator – Conflict & Land job opportunity should hold a first degree in law with a diploma in legal practice or a degree in a related field.

Experience: At least three years’ experience working in peace and/or governance issues in a non– governmental organisation
Previous experience in project administration, planning and implementation
