Job Title:         Administrative Assistant
Employer: TechnoServe (TNS)
Location: Kampala, Uganda

Duties:  
Administrative Support:
Prepare documents and assist the CM to keep an accurate and organized filing system
Support the CM in organizing in-house and external meetings
Documents, minutes, memos, letters and presentations, as requested
Prepare the CM’s expenses and travel advance requests/authorizations
Support travel arrangements for the CM
Front Desk Activities:
Handle incoming telephone calls and visitors; screen and redirect where appropriate
Assist in photocopying, faxing and filling
Maintain inventory of office supplies and re-order when required
Assure the confidentiality of dispatches delivered or received and that all such dispatches are recorded correctly
Receive deliveries, ensure that items are checked and quantities confirmed as needed under the direction of the supervisor
Office and Staff:
Coordinate office maintenance and repair work
Arrange for the repair and maintenance of office equipment as directed
Ensure a clean and presentable office environment
Supervise the office assistant and cleaning team to ensure their work is done on time
Ensure that standard office refreshments, teas, the water dispenser and other refreshments as may be required from time to time are available for the entire office
Finance Support:
Prepare memos for payment of service providers under instruction from the supervisor
Receive invoices, record them and forward them to Operations for processing
Distribute cheques to vendors
Transport and Accommodation:
Handle all travel arrangements and movements for the Kampala office staff and guests, including booking of tickets, vehicle hire, airport pickups and drop offs under clear directives from the Procurement and Logistics Officer
Responsible for the booking of accommodation for staff and guests with preferred TechnoServe hotels or other recommended service providers
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education:
The ideal candidate for the Administrative Assistant job placement at TechnoServe (TNS) should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a relevant field

Experience
One year of Office administration experience for Degree holders and two years for Diploma holders
Fluent in both spoken and written English

Job Title:   Innovation and Institutional Sustainability Specialist (Paid Fellowship Jobs)

Duties:
The incumbent will maximize teaching and management staff effectiveness through process improvements, clear mandates, and evaluation.
Establish a revenue model that includes a diversification of revenue sources (currently student fees and donor funds).
The jobholder will also identify opportunities to reduce operating costs while maintaining the high standards of learning.
Inspire and motivate local staff in their roles and create opportunities for staff to grow and excel beyond their mandates.
Identify and establish relevant community, regional, national or international partnerships that align with the values and mission of the school.
Support both the local staff and international directors to augment/expand governance systems and reinforce local participation.

Education:

Experience:

Compensation: All costs relating to the placement are either paid for directly by EWB (airfare, insurance, vaccinations, trainings) or indirectly through a living stipend, which covers food, living expenses, local travel, etc. Fellows also receive an honorarium to assist with repatriation costs. The stipend covers basic living expenses for a modest lifestyle in your placement country. You should not expect to save money during this year or use the stipend to cover previous expenses (e.g. student loans).

Job Title:                Field Technician (2 Fresher Jobs)

Duties:
Complete the motorcycle procurement process including but not limited to signing off the pre-delivery inspection notes and managing the inventory.
The incumbent will accurately conduct pre-delivery inspection on all received motorcycles and ensure all necessary maintenance are reported before delivery.
Coordinate delivery of motorcycles (including loading, paying the delivery agents, offloading, monitoring and reporting any damages) from the supplier to Tugende warehouse.
Accurately capture all new motorcycle details into the system, before disbursement.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders / instructions to perform required maintenance and service.
Manage all installations, repairs, maintenance and testing of motorcycle before disbursement.

The jobholder will document, share and make recommendations on status of company assets with relevant members of the operations team based on fieldwork discoveries.

Education
